The Security (Evening & Weekend) is responsible for providing secure program management to employees, consumers and properties of University Circle United Methodist Church. In addition, the Security (Evening & Weekend) will effectively assisting in implementing appropriate risk management strategies related to safety and security.

JOB OVERVIEW
The Security (Evening & Weekend) is responsible for providing secure program management to employees, consumers and properties of University Circle United Methodist Church. In addition, the Security (Evening & Weekend) will effectively assisting in implementing appropriate risk management strategies related to safety and security.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with enforcement of security policies and procedures;
- Complete as needed security-related documents including but not limited to, incident reports, reports and maintenance requests.
- Assists with training subordinate security professionals or other organization members in security rules and procedures.
- Walk entire building internally, reporting any extraordinary situations which you might encounter. Example: Leaks, etc.
- Greet and receive guests, offering assistance during their time in the building.
- Oversee the continuous monitoring and protection of facilities, personnel and information systems.
- Evaluate suspected security breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and rule of infractions.
- Detect suspicious activities.
- Watch for criminal acts or rule infractions at or near given post which may be a threat to the facility, clients, members, or employees.
- Expected to attend assigned staff meetings, give and receive information; participate in problem solving; provide recommendations for policy changes and program development to direct report.
- Consistently working to meet the mission and core values of UCUMC with enthusiasm and a spirit of cooperation.
- Order and inventory all security-related supplies and equipment as needed.
- Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, following emergency response procedures.
- Prepare reports or make presentations on internal investigations, losses, or violations of regulations, policies and procedures.
- Communicate security status, updates, and actual or potential problems, using established protocols.
- Ensures compliance with applicable building and safety codes, hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, hazardous materials, etc.
- Assists with on-going programs to ensure employee awareness and compliance to, Safety, Environment, and Security policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- High School Diploma / GED required
